The School of Bonsai Reopening Term 2, 2022

School of Bonsai will reopen face-to-face classes on 26 April 2022.

The School will open under the current COVID-19 restrictions, which as you’re aware may change very rapidly.  We understand this is a difficult time although we wish to continue to enjoy our Bonsai and our class interaction.

Currently, there are no specific requirements that the School needs to implement to comply with NSW Government rules and restrictions for operating classes.

However, there is still a high level of concern among our members and teachers that there is a risk of being infected with Covid-19 in classes.

The School will minimise the risk of infection from Covid-19 by implementing the following measures:

  • We request all members who have any Covid-19 or flu/cold like symptoms to not attend classes.
  • Members must follow NSW Government requirements if they test positive to a RAT or PCR test and not attend classes.
  • Masks will be required for all people attending any classes. You may however discuss with the teachers present, whether masks are required at that class.
  • Social distancing of 1.5 meters will be required of all members in classes. This is particularly important during the workshop phase of the classes.
  • The school will ensure workbenches and seating are disinfected both before and after classes and this will be undertaken by the teachers at that class.
  • Students are to clean and wipe the table covers with disinfectant before folding, ready to be put away.
  • QR code check-in will not be required.
  • All members attending a class will be required to sign into each class on arrival.  An attendance sheet will be provided. A record of attendance is required for our insurance purposes.
