The School of Bonsai – Sale Day

Dear Members and Friends,

 

We’re pleased to invite you to our upcoming School of Bonsai Sale Day. This event is always a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together to buy, sell, and share bonsai, pots, tools, and related items in a relaxed and friendly setting.

 

Whether you’re looking to clear some space on your benches, find a new tree, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, we hope you’ll join us for the morning.

Event Details

​

• Date: Saturday, 16 May 2026

• Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
  (Hall access from 8:15 AM for seller setup)

• Venue: North Rocks Senior Citizens Hall
  North Rocks Road, Carlingford NSW 2118
  (Entry via North Rocks Road only — other listed entries will be locked)

• Parking: Free parking available onsite

• Capacity: The hall comfortably accommodates around 300 people, so there will be plenty of room for everyone.

Selling & Tables

​

• 30 tables are available for members wishing to sell bonsai or related items.

• Cost: $30 per table

• Table size: Approximately 2m x 1m (supplied onsite)

• Deadline: Please pay by Friday, 2 May 2026 to secure your table. Unpaid tables may be reallocated.

• Allocation: Tables will be assigned on the day, however you’re welcome to request a preferred location if you have one from previous events.

• Storage: Additional trees or items can be stored neatly under your table.

Seller Guidelines

​

• Setup begins at 8:15 AM.

• Sales start at 9:00 AM sharp so everyone has a fair and equal opportunity.

• Sellers are responsible for their own transactions, so please bring change or an EFTPOS device if you have one.

• Pack-up should be completed by 12:30 PM.

Promotion & Facebook
 

To help promote the event and attract more visitors, we’d love to feature some of the trees and items that will be available on the day.

 

If you would like your trees or items highlighted on the School of Bonsai Facebook page, please send:

 

• A photo

• Your name (seller)

• A short description of the tree or item (species, size, pot, price if you wish)

Including seller names and details helps generate interest and gives buyers something to look forward to before the event.

Making the Day Even Better

 

To add a little extra interest to the morning, we are planning to include a short bonsai demonstration during the sale. This could be a quick styling or seasonal technique demonstration and will provide something enjoyable for visitors while also showcasing bonsai practice.

 

If you have ideas or suggestions that could make the Sale Day even better for everyone — such as mini demos, raffles, display tables, or beginner advice sessions — please feel free to share them.

 

Our goal is to make this event valuable for sellers, enjoyable for visitors, and beneficial for the bonsai community as a whole.
